What to wear snorkeling?

Most snorkelers just wear swimsuits along with some reef-safe sunscreen.  Sun shirts are also common for snorkelers to where to avoid too much exposure to the sun. 

Where to snorkel in Islamorada?

There are many locations to choose from depending on what you are interested in.  Cheeca Rocks, Conch Reef, Alligator Reef are just a few examples of snorkel destinations.

Where to snorkel in Key Largo?

Key Largo is where John Pennekamp State Park is which consists of some of the most famous snorkeling destinations in the world.  Molasses Reef, Christ of the Abyss, French Reef, Dry Rocks, are some examples. 

How does a snorkel work?

Snorkeling is very intuitive.  To break it down to the most basic level, then I’d say it’s just a way to keep your face in the water and breath surface air.  It’s like breathing through a giant straw. 

Is the water warm?

Yes, in general, the water is warm enough that wetsuits are never required on the surface.  In the winter months, water temperatures can be in the low seventies. 

Do I have to wear a life jacket?

All snorkelers are provided a snorkel vest. A snorkel vest is an inflatable life preserver designed to allow snorkelers to make a descent from the surface and orally inflate if a little buoyancy is required.

How deep is it?

It depends on where we go, but depths range from six to thirty feet.
